Old Story Inspired By Egoiste Platinum By Chanel
Old Story, is inspired by Egoiste Platinum by Chanel, practically explodes with excitement and energy from the first spray. Dazzling notes of geranium, rosemary, sage, oranges, and oakmoss light up the atmosphere, tightly bound together with anchoring notes of lavender, grassy vetiver, sandalwood, cedar, and amber. Spicy, green, and woody, this beautiful fragrance is crisp, clean, and fresh, a versatile scent that just as easily finds a place in the office as it does on a night out.

I remember wearing the D&C version of this back in the day. This smells spot on to how I remember it. Great fragrance.
Old Story is a nice gentlemanly, fresh scent for the summertime. Starts off with citrus vibe then the wood notes balance everything to an old school manly fragrance. I have over a dozen AF and have been happy with each of them.
I have an overall collection of 50+ fragrances, including several from Alexandria. Having purchased a sample of Egoiste Platinum I found I really enjoyed everything about it but the price. I stumbled upon Alexandria when looking for a dupe, and am really glad I did. To my nose, Old Story is about 95% the same as EP at dry down, but lasts longer.
Smells very identical to Platinum Egoiste. Only difference is that this one smells more transparent and leans a small click towards the green side, BUT this is definitely Platinum Egoiste. Longevity is great - easily 8 hours - but I got 10-12 hours spraying liberally on hair skin and clothes in the morning because I work outdoors. Projection is strong and above average. This can easily satisfy the craving for Platinum Egoiste lovers. I actually love Old Story over Platinum and for the price, this is a steal. Great job Alexandria! 👍
I am absolutely ecstatic that my first purchase from Mr. Hafez (blind bought this and The Extreme last week) shot these two affordable scents right to the top of my 75 bottle collection! On so many levels this impresses, but along with superior longevity is his sandalwood (also in The Extreme) that just surpasses the inspirations. This has the metallic tinge and soapy class of the original, but with a bit more lavender, which is fine by me. I can tell Mr. Hafez excels at drydowns, and this one is to die for.
