A Private Man

Nice smelling fragrance

I received the fragrance in a timely manner and it was securely packaged. I hope you continue to produce this inspired by fragrance Priv’.

But after I got it it was totally nostalgic. It lasts and is exactly how I remember the original.

It took a couple months for me to really get to appreciate this fragrance for what it is, I think this is because when I wore it the first week I brought it the fragrance was still not fully settled from shipping, I would recommend to anyone buying this in Europe to let it macerate for 8 weeks after giving it an initial spray. So after letting it settle and macerate I have slowly fallen in love with this fragrance, this is not a clone, this is like 'CH Men Prive' meets 'Uomo La Notte' but I would say a little less sweet than both, it has the boozy side of CHMP but the leather of ULN, the grapefruit up top is a bit more promiment as it opens than CHMP, so you're going to get a bit more of a fresh opening, that gives it a clean feeling. A Private Man is it's own thing and needs to be looked at as such, sure it shares arguably one of the best fragrance DNAs for men of all time that CH Men Prive began, but like 'Uomo La Notte', A Private Man does it in it's own way, and that way is a more mature and versatile fragrance than the fragrance it is inspired by (CHMP). Also this fragrance really reacts with body chemistry and the warmer your skin gets the better it performs and it also lasts longer than CHMP and projects better when your skin is warm. Overall I'd say buy this over 'CH Men Prive' or 'Uomo La Notte' because it does what both these scents do but better. My only critique is that I wish it was 1% sweeter so it matches the seductiveness of CH Men Prive (as girls tend to still prefer CHMP when I ask because they said it's a little sweeter) then this scent would be perfect 10/10.

Overall this is a great versatile 3 season fragrance (Autum, Winter, Spring) and like CH Men Prive is one of the best fragrances for men whom want to smell sophisticated and sexy with a little edge (bad boy).

This is a hidden gem and I'm glad Alexandria fragrances have kept this DNA alive but in their own unique way, when I finish my 55ml I will be ordering more as this has become my 3 season signature scent.

I know they describe this as a evening scent but I am wearing it too work and the scent is not polarizing so it has my office smelling great. this was my second blind buy, as my first was Amai Mizu and I thank Haney and the team that you can blind buy Alexandrias fragrances if you understand your note breakdown and find some gems. This is an excellent spring and fall scent that is now since it is March a favorite in my spring rotation.
