I have both. They are 85% similar. It seems that this one's opening is stronger than the Hermes one, but I think it's mainly because of its uncontrollable spray. Hermes has a better spray. But they both do a good job portraying the beautiful fresh citrusy rhubarb smell. The one last longer than the Hermes one, but not as long as I expected after reading the comments on Youtube. This one lasts for 2 hours at most and Hermes 1 hour. This one has a better projection. However, the white musk of this one is quite different from the Hermes, more powdery to be specific. To me, the essence of the original Hermes rhubarb lies on the subtle base note. It disappears very fast but the sweet and calming smell makes you sniff your skin. The powderiness of the Alexandria one, however, ruins this balance and makes it less desirable. Anyway, it is almost a perfect rhubarb perfume. Well done I may say.
Hany sent this as a sample with an order about a month ago.
This starts out with a tart, not sour, rhubarb/grapefruit top soon coming into a berry or jammy-rose mid. The dry down is that berry note with the subtle musk.
Performance is great with nice 3' to 4' projection for 1.5 to 2 hours then settling down to a more personal 1' zone for the remaining 4 or 5 hours.
This is a great scent and my wife loves it on me so I wear it at least once a week. Get it, you won't be disappointed.
