I honestly feel like I just got the deal of the century!

Back in the late '90s and early 2000s, Candie's for Men was my signature fragrance. I absolutely loved the scent, and apparently so did everyone else, especially the ladies! The compliments were just icing on the cake. It was a fragrance I wore because I genuinely loved it.

Fast-forward more than 20 years, and I discovered Alexandria Fragrances' Sugar Daddy. I ordered a bottle hoping to recapture a little of that magic, and WOW, did it deliver!

It's been so many years since I've smelled the original Candie's that I can't honestly say whether Sugar Daddy is an exact match. I know there are a few differences in the fragrance notes, but quite frankly, I don't care. The moment I smelled it, I was transported back to a time when life was simpler, responsibilities were few, and my biggest concern was enjoying the moment.

It's amazing how a fragrance can unlock memories and emotions you haven't experienced in decades. That's exactly what Sugar Daddy did for me.

I haven't even had the chance to give it a proper wearing yet, so I can't speak to longevity or projection. But based on the scent alone, I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase!

Alexandria Fragrances didn't just sell me another bottle of cologne. They gave me a little piece of my youth back.

If you were a fan of the original Candie's for Men, do yourself a favor and give Sugar Daddy a try. I couldn't be happier!

My husband is extremely difficult to buy for, and I’m so glad I found this. He had been very scarcely using the last of his favorite Candies cologne since we can no longer find it, and the rebrand has changed the scent. I included this in his birthday gift and he absolutely loves it. It is remarkably close to his original fav, and the bottle is more of a vibe than Candies too. This will be his new go-to.

I was disappointed that the original is no longer manufactured, and the "relaunch" wasn't even close. I was skeptical that a third party could recreate the scent, but I am happy to report that Alexandria Fragrances absolutely nailed it.

I would've been happy if they even got 90% of the way there, but to me they not only recreated the original, but they also went above and beyond and made it *even better* somehow. What I mean by that is, they didn’t change what made the original so good. They simply brought those same qualities out even more, making the fragrance feel fuller and more vibrant while still being unmistakably the original.

The moment I smelled this, I was immediately reminded of the original. I’m definitely a new fan of Alexandria Fragrances and will be checking out more of their fragrances going forward.

I still have a tiny bottle of the original Candies and this dupe is extremely close. It’s hard to tell the difference. Definitely recommend.
